I think there’s something goofy with your account.
If I want to PM somebody I just click on their user icon and the option to create a PM is there by clicking on Message.
If I click on your icon, though, I get a blank.
Hi tempo, i clicked on the life forum and it seems that the new topic button is blocked out. I will try other avenues to see if they work. 
The Life forum isn’t active–use one of the forums under it like Health, Pets, etc.
I clicked on your icon and there seems to be a message button showing up on your profile. Maybe my account is getting back to normal.
