Fasteners manufacturers + exporters

Hello,
just by any chance if anyone could share a personal contact of someone who deals with manufacture or export of smaller fasteners in larger quantities into Europe.

I would be veeery grateful and also some money can be made on both sides

The office was next door to my previous work.
Not sure whether they can communicate in English.

I see a lot of screw/fastener shop around Taipei. A few around Chengde rd near Shuanlian MRT station. I’m sure they have contacts for larger quantity too.

Aren’t they just small retail shops? It sounds like OP is looking for a manufacturer, or at most an exporter. Quite different.

Here is a list form this years fastener expo in Kaohsiung, at the show they normally have people that speak English, but don’t know if there are on staff full time.

Maybe go through and search them online

Nice!

Now— what’s a fastener? :money_mouth_face:

You’ve never attended the Taiwan International Fastener Show? It’s a biennial highlight of living in Taiwan. Looks like you’ll need to wait until 2026 for the next one. :smiling_face_with_tear:

Small cup bras?

It’s US English for a fastening, or a fastener could be the person doing the fastening, could be quite festinating.

Screws, bolts, washers and nuts, clip-ons, anchor bolts, locking pins, locking screws, pins
. You know small metal stuff.

Oh man— no wonder I can’t work a bra .

A lot of these shops would be happy to be a middleman for large qty exports
they really don’t make much money from random folks buying 10-20 M6 bolts every so often. I daresay most their business is from factories ordering truckloads of them.

It’s better than waiting until 2026 for the next fastener show.

But I did pass by a few factories in Xinjhuan making nuts and bolts

Trying to make my point kindly clearly didn’t work for you, so here’s a more blunt version:

I’m certainly no expert either, but I think you don’t know what you’re talking about. Hardly the first time. I don’t know why you insist on doing this.

Calling up a small neighborhood retail store to ask them about being a middleman for exporting overseas in large quantities is just an absurd suggestion, and it’s completely different from selling larger amounts to Taiwanese factories. Most of these small shops aren’t going to have a clue about exporting stuff overseas, and there’s definitely going to be a language barrier.

I’m skeptical also that “most their business is from factories ordering truckloads of them”. For “truckloads”, any competent Taiwanese factory is just going to go to the manufacturer because it’s cheaper. And that’s what OP should be doing too. Paying more to involve an intermediate company that doesn’t know how to export stuff or deal with foreign customers and likely doesn’t speak English is just ridiculous and unnecessary.

Nobody is suggesting this. For Christ’s sake, please properly read what you’re responding to for once. The reason for posting the link to the show was because there’s a directory of manufacturers/exporters, which OP can then go through and contact those that look suitable. These are companies deliberately targeting overseas buyers.

Even if your suggestion was sensible, which it’s not, you haven’t really given OP very much to go on, have you? They’re clearly based in Europe not Taipei — are they supposed to look on Google Maps around the vague area you’ve suggested for things that look like fastener shops then call them up
?

How would that help the OP?

visit your local industry relevant exhibition and find a company who knows a company

Nuts are one kind of fasteners. Usually (not always) paired with bolts.

If you absolutely need it to not come loose, none of those lock washer/nuts actually work. You would need safety wire to ensure this. Aircraft nuts/bolts are usually safety wired.

It’s a joke TL. No need to explain this. :face_with_peeking_eye:

Wow— you know your way around nuts!

Yes, that’s what I went through and contancted some of the more promising manufacturers. Sadly I did not find non-official contact who would deal lower prices and check the quality for us.
