Nobody ever managed to replicate the Lubitsch touch, however.

Cliche by now, I know, but I still get a big laugh out of Clark Griswold and his hundreds of Christmas lights, wired up like a Bangkok soi, “auxiliary nuclear,” etc. Always makes me laugh.
