FBI Background Check for JFRV

I’ve been researching this FBI background check all day, but it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. So, am I supposed to print all of the information off of the FBI website (did it), and then I take it to the Immigration Office to get my fingerprints. Then, I send it to the FBI. Then send it to TECO in the US to have them verify it. And then I have it sent to me here in Taiwan. Is this an accurate flow chart for that part of the JFRV? What else do I need to know so as not to screw this up. I’ve searched this forum for hours, and there is a lot of contradictory information!

Call your local police station and ask if they have the capability to provide you with the necessary fingerprinting and forms for a FBI Background check. I did mine at 1 Police Plaza in NYC, which is the main police HQ. I am not sure if smaller towns have this capability.

Then you print off the form from the FBI website, and mail it in along with your prints with about $36 per report. You will receive your reports in 5-6 weeks. At least, I did.
