Feedback re. teacher needed: Which tribe?

We read on the ‘teaching job listings’ that a “Native North American Teacher” is wanted.

I feel it would be more useful if the poster could specify which tribe is preferred, for example Cherokee, Chickasaw etc.

Why do you need to know? Which tribe do you belong to?

I assume that the poster meant to say something like “Native English speaking teacher from North America wanted”. It was just my silly idea of a joke. Not very gentlemanly I know.

Although, if I am wrong and a native American is indeed specifically wanted, then as the poster didn’t specify what language, if any, this teacher is required to teach, choice of tribe might be vital as I understand there is a great deal of difference between the languages of various tribes. Perhaps somebody wants to use that language as a virtually uncrackable code as in the real-life events on which the film ‘Windtalkers’ was based.

Shoshoni or Arapaho - it is a difficult choice for the Taiwanese.

I’m part Mohawk - can I get a part-time job there??

I am almost one quarter Choctaw. I hope that’s enough.

Sorry but our dress and hairstyle code says no mohawks.

Are Inuits allowed?

You’ll have to travel back in time and ask.
