Hi! I’ve been by my lonesome in Taipei for the past 8 days and I’d like to know if there are places I can go to meet expats/Filipinos/anyone ? Any events during this long weekend that I can take advantage of to meet some people?
You can find Filipinos at Catholic churches. Also on Sunday afternoons they go to discos, usually Farm House and B52 around Minquan W. Road MRT station.

It’s definitely still going on. But I’ve heard rumors that all the bars on the street where Farm House and My Place are will be closed within 3-4 years. Malibu West and B52 might survive since they’re not on that street. You can see already that directly next to Farm House they are putting up a massive new building. The whole block will probably be razed by the end of this decade.
RichMone, Chatters, Bear House, Lutong Pinoy to mention a few and there are other restobars. San Miquel from 50 to 70NT.
Chatters is open 7 days a week. Some of the best lively bars here.

And yes, some places will be showing the big fight on May 2nd . Regulars only 1st come 1st served I am informed.
What time will that be in live in Taiwan? I imagine early on Sunday morning.
