But food panda told me my order would take 30 minutes…
It’s been 3 hours. It’s 3 am. I want to go to sleep. Once it gets time for my order to arrive, they extend the wait another 30/45 min. They’ve been doing this all night. I try to cancel and they say “Hold on! We have to receive your message.”
I’ve been waiting to just to cancel the past hour and a half. Anyone have this problem before?
I’m tired and want to sleep. Do I just have the delivery guy come to my building and let the guy wait out in the cold until he realizes I fell asleep and am not coming down? I’m kinda pissed they wont just let me cancel and are stringing me along until morning. I know its NYE but wtf.
Damnit. They just extended another 45 min.
What started as a 12:35 delivery time is now 4:00am. (if im lucky)
I think I will just have to let the guy come to my building and figure it out that I’m out of commission. Watch them charge me and penalize me for not coming down to receive him. (as I never got my order cancel approved)
Food Panda don’t do door drop off? My security guy always lets UberEats access our floor and drop the food off at the door (after calling up to us of course).
Traffic would have to be pretty bloody bad to make a 30 min trip stretch to 4 hours. How was the restaurant even still open?
Try not to take it out on the poor delivery person though. It’s NYE, so things must be crazy and it’s probably not fun spending a frigid NYE morning dropping food off all over the city in between waiting in gridlocked traffic.
They cancelled deliveries around Taipei 101 area /Xinyi and they are short staffed because people took day off to be with their families. Both Ubereats and Food Panda.
I messaged the delivery guy saying that although I didn’t blame him at all (I used to work in service industry, I get it ) I didn’t want him to come. Apparently he didn’t receive my text because I woke up to 4 missed calls at 5:15 am
