For crying out loud, at least clean up the grammar

The following obviously was done via Google Translate after the author typed it in Chinese.

I’m pretty sure you guys know what I’m talking about.

I come across more and more of this crap in my work… people running Chinese though a machine translator and hoping the unreadable result can simply be edited into good English. Sorry, it doesn’t work that way. Either give me the original Chinese or give me something written in non-machine English.

…don’t be a hater…

I’m lucky that the people I do most of my editing for believe in hiring decent translators. I make a point of telling them that from time to time, so they don’t let things slip, but as they’ve been in business more than 40 years, I guess they’ve got good habits.

I think there’s a place for MT, and that place is giving a client a quick MT translation so they can see how bad the best MT is. Google Translate pales in comparison to Systran 7.3, which I use, and Systran 7.3 output in EN from CN, KR, or JP is enough to let you smell the entree, but not taste it. Systran output is much better going between European languages (including EN).

will translate for a fee XD
