From the story title, he used the Gold Card to stay in Taiwan. It seems if he did not have a gold card he would be deported/ It’s not fair he did a serious crime that he is not deported. Does gold card allow do crimes and stay? It seems if he was working visa he would be deported.
Because otherwise she might not have called the cops?
He should be deported after jail. Why does gold card holder get to stay after a serious crime while those on working visas get deported? They should be doing more get good people to stay and get rid of bad people.

There doesn’t seem to be a special treatment based on the fact that he has a Gold Card (vs. a regular work-based ARC): Suspended sentence and probation does not automatically lead to deportation. And he could still be deported in the future.

Read the article again and you can see the above is correct. The decision to deport is still pending.

Not necessarily , to be deported on an APRC you’d need imprisonment of over a year unless it is for political medaling.
Yeah. That’s what Taiwanese media like to do. They like to make people angry without knowing the real world effects on people like us.

Well Indians themselves are protesting against the shocking amounts of rape and sexual violence that goes on and increasing. A 20% jump from 2022 to 2023 for example.
If you don’t want people to associate rape with you, do something serious to stop 
it happening.
