I’m wondering if anyone has any experience of working at Elementary and Middle Schools in Taipei. Is it usual for a contract to say ‘Paid leave and paid sick leave’ and then state that if the teacher takes any leave (sick or otherwise) he/she must pay the sub teacher out of his/her own pocket!
