Forumosa like forum for Canada?

Pretty much as per title. Are there any good, well moderated, open and busy forums for canada?

Specifically NOT Facebook, reddit type styles. A proper forum that is comfortable, varied and has a broad range of topics that are openly discussed.

Wanting to get more involved Ed with my Canadian family, maybe open up a business there to pair with our operations in Taiwan etc. But want to spend a year or 2 online talking and shooting the shit before pulling the trigger.

Edit. Specifically Canada. Not USA, or otherwise. I have family ties and specific reasons for wanting a Canada centric forum much like this forum is Taiwan centric

Well, considering how many easily offended, touchy Canadians we already have here, you might not even need to look elsewhere. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

(It’s a joke) lighten up, Canadians.

Australia has this one:

https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/

AI suggested https://forums.canadiancontent.net

But looks like it is much less active then Forumosa.

Gen Z types don’t use forums anymore, at least from what I find. It’s all social media platforms with them. Forums are for old folks.

I don’t think it is possible to find a forum like Forumosa for Canada, because Canadians don’t have as much to complain about

Pretty much this. It’s a dying artifact of the old internet days. Even I’m mostly on Reddit these days even though that platform is utter trash now overrun by bots.

Canada has a redflagdeals old school forum still, mostly to find deals on things but they have some semi active subforums on various topics.

There are very real reasons why I am avoiding those types of platforms. Maturity and experience are key ones

Forums still remain the best for long form, multi year conversations. I still am part of decades long conversations on biology related forums where things evolve and discourse back and forth is allowed to continue in a clear and convenient way.

It’s quite a plus with sites like forumosa… typing on Facebook, reddit etc is akin to just not giving a shit about digital ergonomics :hugs:

I hate social media because it’s filled with trolls and bots and scammers. Also Quora seems to be filled with MAGA content, popping up like cancer.

Born and raised haha

Anyway, the point is a forum like here. Nice, smooth, easy to navigate. Not reddit, not quora, not Facebook and etc. Those layouts suck and are the opposite of smooth. Proper forum script are so beyond superior to those advertisement and data mining machines it’s not even a contest.

Plus, decent forums styles filter out a lot of the people that need to read “information” in .jpeg format :face_vomiting:
