I found out on the camping trip that you guys are swamped as mentioned. That was why I started to run with getting a print done. How about we just get the names and sizes as one would buy in a Western shop. (Not the local S, M, L, XL) and move quickly toward a final design.
Names on back was my idea and its not essential. Just getting a majority consensus on color and design is and moving on this project.
No problem, I’ll get right on some more mockups, including the maroon on grey, black & maroon on beige, poster names, and bones ideas, then Ironman and I can check out some printers. I’m swamped at both workplaces so it might take me a few days to get to the Photoshopping, then maybe Ironman and I can talk to some printers next week?
If anyone has hot babes or studs wearing med. or dark grey, or beige polos, tees or muscle shirts/ tank tops, feel free to send them to me in a PM so we can get some fresh models too.
There have been threads about why you chose your name. There’s usually a story behind it. Plus, what’s wrong with rewarding/recognzing the most prolific posters. As Mr He has pointed out, it’s their stuff we are reading
To get names on individual t-shirts, they could be
A) embroidered
B) rubber-stamped on with acrylic
C) silk-screened or stenciled on with acrylic
A should not be too expensive, as there are students everywhere with their name and school ID number embroidered on their uniforms.
B and C would require more effort and experimentaion as to how many washes the acrylic will last. But I have acrylic stains from art class on t-shirts that have lasted for years and are still there. Still, the best method of application needs to be found through further research.
B and C would be more time-consuming for the person doing it, but much less expensive. A would require no effort on our part and might look more professional/neat.
That said, I will look into silk-screening ourselves, as that would accomodate people wanting to get shirts of different sizes and shapes. And also be cheaper, probably.
lupillus, very nice job with those pics! Also, great idea re: self-screening and embroidery.
I was gonna do the Phshppg, but have been swamped. Thanks for helping fill in. Although Ironman’s idea was neat in principle, I think your pics show how in practice, the back of the shirt with all the names looks far too crowded. Just my opinion; I’ll bow to majority opinion on this. I don’t think folks will ever stop to read all those names.
I like having the forumosa.com on the front plus the xin taiwanren seal.
Having the individual username there is an awesome concept, but I doubt we can have the printer do individual names, without a big increase in cost. But embroidering is a good alternative, thanks for pointing that out!
So I would vote for a return to simplicity, the site name & seal on front, and the full website address on back, with or without a large seal and/or mission line.
