JFYI
Vendor of TaiwanHo’s T-shirt
Hi Gus,

This is the info on the tshirt place from Jerry:
The name of the T-shirt store is Tan.

Address is 54-5, Section 3 Shin Shan South Road; not far from the McDonald’s across from Taida.

I found out on the camping trip that you guys are swamped as mentioned. That was why I started to run with getting a print done. How about we just get the names and sizes as one would buy in a Western shop. (Not the local S, M, L, XL) and move quickly toward a final design.

Names on back was my idea and its not essential. Just getting a majority consensus on color and design is and moving on this project.

No problem, I’ll get right on some more mockups, including the maroon on grey, black & maroon on beige, poster names, and bones ideas, then Ironman and I can check out some printers. I’m swamped at both workplaces so it might take me a few days to get to the Photoshopping, then maybe Ironman and I can talk to some printers next week?

If anyone has hot babes or studs wearing med. or dark grey, or beige polos, tees or muscle shirts/ tank tops, feel free to send them to me in a PM so we can get some fresh models too.

That’s all I’m reading. I’m having no part in this porn biz.

But there’s no real point in putting the top 300 posters on the t-shirt, is there?

It’ll just be a cluttered back with a bunch of names, and it definately won’t look as cool.

Unless it’s meant to be a trophy for the people who post the most.

I think trying to get names on the front of the t-shirt to identify you as a specific forumosa poster is good though.

Really, I think it’d be kinda cool.

There have been threads about why you chose your name. There’s usually a story behind it. Plus, what’s wrong with rewarding/recognzing the most prolific posters. As Mr He has pointed out, it’s their stuff we are reading

Can’t my name be bigger??

Size doesn’t matter :stuck_out_tongue:

Size doesn’t matter :p
Then you won’t mind the reduction?? :smiling_imp:

Yellow Cartman is big enough

BAH…I’ll have outposted you by next month. lol

next you’ll be telling me about quality over quantity.

I don’t see my name anywhere on the shirt…

NOT that I care, really, I don’t…

Come on, I have a rep to protect

I think everyone here wants to see bassman break out!

come on! say “Darn it!” :smiling_imp:

With the names on the back, people might think we’re Forumosa High School Grad '05 with funny names.

I’m getting photoshop-happy…

To get names on individual t-shirts, they could be

A) embroidered
B) rubber-stamped on with acrylic
C) silk-screened or stenciled on with acrylic

A should not be too expensive, as there are students everywhere with their name and school ID number embroidered on their uniforms.

B and C would require more effort and experimentaion as to how many washes the acrylic will last. But I have acrylic stains from art class on t-shirts that have lasted for years and are still there. Still, the best method of application needs to be found through further research.

B and C would be more time-consuming for the person doing it, but much less expensive. A would require no effort on our part and might look more professional/neat.

That said, I will look into silk-screening ourselves, as that would accomodate people wanting to get shirts of different sizes and shapes. And also be cheaper, probably.

lupillus, very nice job with those pics! Also, great idea re: self-screening and embroidery.

I was gonna do the Phshppg, but have been swamped. Thanks for helping fill in. Although Ironman’s idea was neat in principle, I think your pics show how in practice, the back of the shirt with all the names looks far too crowded. Just my opinion; I’ll bow to majority opinion on this. I don’t think folks will ever stop to read all those names.

I like having the forumosa.com on the front plus the xin taiwanren seal.

Having the individual username there is an awesome concept, but I doubt we can have the printer do individual names, without a big increase in cost. But embroidering is a good alternative, thanks for pointing that out!

So I would vote for a return to simplicity, the site name & seal on front, and the full website address on back, with or without a large seal and/or mission line.

Been on planes and off line the past two days. I was talking with MJB and he suggested a large forumosa logo island down the t shirt back.

On the plane I was thinking how about at least those ordering could have their handle and post around the island almost like a border.

If its Bottlehead 7,461 and its not bigger than Bottlehead’s wife can see when she is spooning him then mission achieved.

I would like to see names. Reason is its history to look back on. I have a Las Vegas Marathon T Shirt in a frame with the race info etc.

I suspect we will end up with 50-100 poster orders and that will work pretty well with the concept.

Color How about the grey color Goose Egg posted up. Its pretty neutral?

My wife wants one that has:

Forumosan Internet Widow

on the back. Can do?
