Some error exceptions that appear here are bad code. Usually this is bad timing - if you try to load a page and I’m working on some of the files here, you may be doing this just as I’m saving or uploading to the server. So you load incomplete files, resulting in… some errors
These would not shutdown your browser, however.
And when you load a topic or forum in Forumosa, I’m guestimating that there are 6 to 10 distinct files that are used to build your page. If I’m futzing around with one of them and I made a mistake, it can also crash your page load. But this wouldn’t shut your browser, either.
I plan to be working a bit more this month on the code - but this will usually be early in the morning or weekends. JFYI
(just kidding - we haven’t done anything because there doesn’t seem to be anything for us to do right now. There’s a pretty good chance the problem is on your end. Good luck!)

I’ve this problem
When I use “NEW” or “24/24” feature and there’s more than 1 page available to click. 2nd or 3rd or next gives me the above message :fume:
Just to clarify - this happens on the 2nd, 3rd, etc pages, right? I’ve encountered this problem here and other phpBBs. Searching www.phpBB.com will help - I’ll probably only get to looking for a fix later in the month, unless someone can help find a solution more quickly
Yes, that’s right. First time that’s ever happened to me and that’s been 2+ years… Last night for a brief moment, I didn’t have this problem. I was using another computer and IE instead of my home computer and FF.
I’ll try my other computers and see if I get same error.
And try it on other phpBB websites, too. I’ve encountered the same problem on TaiwanHo’s searches - www.taiwanho.com/talk - among other phpBB websites, which are not as heavily modified as this one

What I do is either open up all the “new posts” pages in tabs immediately, or browse through the first one then when I’m ready to look at the second, re-click on “new posts” then immediately click on the “page 2” button.

EDIT: Wow, you really do have to be quick. Thanks joe, that works!
