Episode 6 of the podcast addresses Wim Hof Breathing and Freediving. Wim Hof breathing is a type of hyperventilation and hyperventialtion has no place in recreational freediving. It’s a common mistake for beginners and can be very dangerous.

Wim Hof always emphasizes that. Don’t do it under water. Though he did set some under-ice diving records if I remember correctly.
Yes, he’s recently starting doing this. But this was after a few practioners “drowned”. And as you said, he’s done breathholds swimming under ice, with no goggles as well.
The point of this episode is to also NOT hyperventilate before diving which Wim Hof Breathing method is the most popular form.

Can finally get back in the water
I’m not sure what the situation is with beaches and open water locations. Will you let us know when you are back in business? I mean when freediving, snorkeling, scuba diving are allowed? Thanks.
Ya I’m hearing that now that some activies like freediving may not be able to do during level 2, but it’s wait and see at the moment. Hopefully we’ll hear more during the 2pm press conference. And yes, I will for sure let you know when all that is open for business!

Ya I really liked it, if anyone wants to take a beginner freedive course there, I could make a trip up! And oddly enough, you have a chance to take some cool photos and videos there.

Their website probably hasn’t been updated in years. The current deepest pool in Asia is K26 in South Korea.
