Fridges and freezers

I just moved to Danshui but had to give my fridge to the mover (got a steep discount on the moving fee for this) because the door to my room is way too small, about 67cm wide (why did they choose to use such small doors?).

So I ended up getting a chest freezer so I can keep frozen stuff, because those mini fridge has lousy freezers.

Anyways I’m finding out that chest freezers use a comically tiny amount of electricity, so little that it basically uses about .6 kwh per day.

I hear the fridge cycle on far more often than the chest freezer does.

I need it so I can get some low cost meats and food that can be stored for an extended period of time.
