Whenever I have my students peer-edit each other’s essays, they are never in the least bit critical. The comments are “perfect!”, “great job” and never any critiques about the actual content. I’m never sure if it’s because they don’t want to be critical of their classmates, or because being critical requires more effort than a bland statement of approval, or probably a combination of both.

It’s an unwritten rule, they are all nice to each other or they all get bad grades.

Its clever. Pick up passengers on the right, get by traffic on the left. Works for a right side.of the driving.country.if it were a left side country, would be funny.
