Someone on a reality show I used to watch used to be called Analeigh, but they changed their name after coming out as non-binary. I was banned for a month on that show’s subreddit for using their dead name. Lesson learned.

Could be. I do wonder exactly how the hell you’re supposed to pronounce such names, but I’m sure they’re innocuous. I still wonder about the girl who had (years ago) clearly signed herself “Virgina” in a log book.
It’s a fashion-oriented show so it’s not surprising that they are more sensitive and woke about things.
