This is my most lasting impression of London. People having LOUD intimate phone conversations In every public space. I felt like checking to see if I was invisible, but nope - just people not giving 2 fucks.

Yeah, on speakerphone too.
A few years ago, I got the Eurostar from London to Paris, some guy next to me was having some loud sales conversation. We went into the tunnel and I timed how long it took for him to notice that he would have been cut off, it was over 15 minutes. Lots of giggling in the cabin when he realised.
