Yes, it was called Roxy Vibe

It’s still played at clubs down here in the South.

The one opposite Night Owls which are both now sandwich bars rather than meth head hang outs?
I used to meet up with that Liverpudlian girl who ran Night Owl in that Roxy , she was always talking so fast. :scream_cat:

Reminds me of the North Wales (think Rhyl & shudder) spinners who played gabber & hard-core.

DJ Fast, DJ Brisk etc - superb names.

“A fast, aggressive type of hardcore house with a BPM of up to 220”

I think this was a purely Dutch thing but attracted people from the neighbouring countries as well. Gabber / gabba.

Wasnt it just really really sped up drum and bass or something. I just remember it was headache-y

Compilations Thunderdome started in the 90s. Never been much into it, prefer Goa-Trance (Astral Projection) or simply European Trance (old Armin van Buuren remixes, M.I.K.E, etc.).

A decent gabber track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ib2H3HnmzcY

The trademark of gabber is to put a snare on every kick (hard trance copied this later). But yeah not a fan of this style overall.

:no_mouth:

It’s a tough one, gabber.
