I was in Xiemen buying a used phone. I needed to use the toilet. The phone shop told me to use the upstairs toilet. Upstairs was like huge gambling den. Poker machines everywhere. Not sure if it was legal?
You can open a âcasinoâ themed restaurant! Lots of them in Taizhong.
As usual:
âCity councilors called for swift action after Economic Development Bureau Director Chang Feng-yuanâs (ćŒ”?æș) said that the bureau would need three months to find a reason to shut down the restaurants as there is no legal precedent.â
How about, casinos are illegal!
Even by Taiwan government regulation police enforcement standards, that is about the stupidest shit I ever heard.
Itâs always the same thing, they wonât mind if you lose all your savings, your house and your dog playing at the national lottery (that indeed offers sports betting, the odds are terrible though). They just want that money to stay inside the countryâs economy, donât want offshore bets.
So Iâm guessing no online betting sites work with Taiwan debit cards then?
Never tried but it could work still if the card provider doesnât block the transactions, wouldnât recommend it though if this new law is in place.
They should ask for an ID card number.
Hi again everyone.

Taiwan is closing a loophole in online gambling.
Itâs about time, lately on TV and mobile phone you get loads of these ads for online gambling.
