I did a quick search here and googled around but seems all I found about GEOS is pretty much what I originally expected. Seems to be similar to global village, with poor pay (mind you that post was from 2003 I think) and willing to hire anyone. Does anyone have anymore info on them please? It appears to be teaching mostly adults (or should I say old grandmothers with nothing else better to do during the day). As I am married to a Taiwanese I am in no rush to jump into anything. Last stint of teaching I did was at HESS for 3 years and I was lucky enough to have worked at great branches. Anymore info (good/bad/ugly) on GEOS would be appreciated, thanks.
Since GEOS teach both English and Japanese, can you get free or cheap Japanese lessons as a perk if you teach English there? Ditto Global Village.
Any updates on this? I got an email from them recently saying they were looking for part-time teachers. Thanks.
I am not sure about bad. I was interviewed by Frederick Reddy. We had good conversation. But my jaw hit the ground when he told me it was for 4 to 6 hours a week in Tianmu. He could even see the blank look in my eyes when he disclosed this. Why even waste the money on Tealit to get a teacher? Guess no one sends CVs to Geos.
You do understand that people who hire read Forumosa? I see you have a low post count. This is a tiny island, and if you talk about anything personal on F.Com you will be discovered.
