"German" bread commercial by Mr. Mark

Can’t even tell what’s worse: the bread, or that they need to specifically reference a Nazi U-Boat. Without that it would still be in bad taste (for German taste, that is - both the commercial and the bread), but lots more funny.

The German text translates roughly like this:

Who says German men are boring? Whoever that is, they are right.

Tanks, submarine U-47, powerful sports cars. Everything manufactured with the same passion.

With low (fuel) consumption

Safe and reliable

Solid build

Free of risks

Outstanding aerodynamics

Technology with a human touch

(So yummy)

Mr. Mark. German multi grained countryside bread.

And some Marketing company actually got paid for that

The bread really is bad. Lol@ the ping noise in the end.

But the French stick makes a nifty U-boat in the bath

Probably keeps afloat almost as long as U-47

Advertisement for some food.
Ramblings about tanks and subs.
Two minutes with no mention of the food quality.

That would be a fantastic parody ad. The fact that it’s real is actually amazing.

Wasn’t there a shop in Taiwan that sold “Hitler approved” heaters?

Edit: Found it

…we don’t care for emotions, like the Japanese…

Wait. What?

The first script was probably:“We don’t care about food, like the Italians”, then an intern told them it wasn’t really ideal for selling bread so at the last moment they had to rush a new script and added the Japanese bit.

The ironic thing is REAL German bread is really really good. Like spectacularly good from the bakeries there.

Mr Mark isn’t just a pale imitation it doesn’t even imitate German bread!

The Taiwanese lady who set it up called it after the baker, who she ‘learned’ baking from briefly in Germany.

The real question is: who is the marketing mastermind behind this ad? Someone who wants to get hired by Gillette?
