Has anyone gone through this process? I haven’t lived in Canada for 20 years yet Taiwan wants me to get a police report to apply for APRC. Any idea how long it takes and if it can be done from Taiwan without a trip back to Canada?
I looked them up and it’s called the Canadian mounted police?

Probably the RCMP can do it from abroad (they have become like our FBI, federal) I did it in a week or two with the Vancouver police because I was living there at the time

Perhaps because you didn’t leave the country for more than 3 months at a time? I spent a while abroad and I don’t qualify for that exemption. I had one entrepreneur ARC, break/abroad for 8 months, gold card 3 years, another gold card extension for 3 years, I’m on year 3 of the first gold card
