Getting BBQ Sauce for your Chicken Nuggets at McDonalds in Taiwan

The bbq sauce is gross. I dip mine in sriracha

I rarely get their nuggets (as I find them gross), but when I do I think the best is their Sweet and Sour sauce. That chicken chain Crisken has the best nuggets here imo.

I didn’t notice. At least they started giving the option of putting cheese on their Whopper. That really annoyed me. I think the prize for the most ruined fast food chain here is KFC though. How many years has it been since they even had the original chicken?

this problem is decades old, the best you can get is getting the sauce in a small cup.

haha, for Taiwanese we love the local KFC way. In Europe I did try too, thought it was good too even though they have different items

Kaohsiung had a lot of BKs about 10 years ago but one day they literally pulled them all out. One day I was there and there was a 30 person lineup to order so they were busy. The next week I went and it was all ripped out.

And now it’s coming back. Guess they realized pulling out was a mistake.

I see what you did there

Skip the nuggets. Go right for the chicken feet. You won’t miss McDonald’s.
Seriously, I love some white horseradish sauce to dip my meats in. Can’t find that anywhere.
McDonald’s does drag out a variety of sauces at least once a year. I love their honey mustard which is now on their mini chicken burger.

I envy you if this is the biggest issue you’re facing in Taiwan. To quote the Bard, this is much ado about nothing.

Well, no… The biggest issue would be insufferable alienation and loneliness. But, this is a close second.

Unpopular opinion: I like the nuggets without sauce

Wow, you have adapted to Taiwanese cuisine…

Haha. I actually had the same experience with you on my first night in Taiwan. The exact same thing. They had no idea what I was talking about. They only had one sauce… I’ve adapted though.

As a side note, You should try the Costco bbq sauce. It’s very good

I like the HP one from Carrefour. The Brits, who knew?

Actually we get that in Canada too. Jason’s usually sells it at a reduced price because no one buys it. Fun fact for those who don’t know, HP stands for house of parliament

It’s new to me! I had seen other HP sauces though.

HP is alright. Better than the generic bbq sauce for sure.
