Had a creepy experience. A random pimply Taiwanese high schooler (maybe a high schooler) got off on the same stop as me at Zhongli Rear Station and kept standing too close to me…then I waited at a crosswalk. He waited right next to me and kept glancing over at me. He pretended to play a cell phone game but kept staring at me. Then I pretended to cross the street, him going ahead, but I didn’t actually cross.
He preceded to cross halfway, then walk in the same direction as me on the other side of the road when he realized I didn’t cross with him. The whole time pretending to be on his phone but also glancing up in my direction in an obvious way…
I had a creepy feeling but also wasn’t 100% sure he was following me.
I then stopped to cross the street and he waited at the opposite side to cross back to my side??? The side he was originally on…Then I was sure he was actually trying to follow me lol. I stared him down hard from across the street and he turned and walked in the other direction. This has never happened to me before so I was very put off. Anyway, other ladies (or possibly men) be careful around Zhongli Train Station, so sketchy…
Could be a weirdo or just a kid trying to pluck up enough courage to talk to you/practice his English/tell you something/ask you out, who knows.
Many years ago I had a high school kid sit beside me on the MRT, which was odd as there were lots of empty seats. He kept turning his head and looking at me for a second or so and then looking away as I looked out the window trying to avoid the awkwardness. Then I seen what looked to be his mother further down the carriage frantically gesturing at him to make conversation, ask me something. I threw him a lifeline, allowed a couple of hello how are you’s and a where are you from before getting off at the next stop and getting back on the same train a couple of carriages down!
@Marco has been dealing with a weirdo stalker recently, perhaps he can give you a few tips!
