Well his claim was not paid at all. The court upheld his claim as it was believed the accused had no evidence of payment being made. Such is life.
Just looked like an easy payoff I guess.

I think Satellite TV is on the scammer’s side. I mean, it was clearly OP’s fault for not asking for a receipt, so any honest worker would take them to court to teach them a lesson on due diligence and proper accounting practices. I bet OP learned their lesson thanks to this honest worker!
