Right now I have no phone contract. A Taiwanese friend of mine told me that he is thinking of using an agent affiliated with or local Sun Fair store to switch his carrier when his contract expires in the next few months.
He said he is going to get a cash certificate for a few thousand dollars for entering into a 2 year contract. Any info on that practice? Is there any advantage to having a contract? I thought it was just a doorway into getting a new phone.
my brother-in-law today made a pretty good deal on TaiwanMobile
Samsung Galaxy3 for free (!!) with a monthly fee of 968 NT$
Tariff is “catch 3G 250”
internet is supposed to be limited, but he got an “all you can eat”,
so I assume it is unlimited.
His contract has expired, so the whole thing for another 2 years
at their company - so no idea if that deal is available for first time/
foreigners anyway customers …
So it seems, there are many options which are not advertised
in the fortnight printed commercial paper available at its stores …
