Giuliani gets endorsement from pat robertson

seems like a pretty big boost, has to help him with christian conservatives, who have been feeling a bit cut adrift this year.

This just shows how scared Robertson is of Clinton. Huckabee would be the much better candidate for the christian conservatives, but since he has little, if any, chance of winning, Robertson goes with the front runner. I guess that leaves the question of whether the flock will follow.

Do the believers want to support a pro-choice, cheating husband, 2x divorced, former roommate of gay men candidate? If it keeps Satan (a.k.a Hillary Clinton) out of the White House, then probably so.

I have such deep admiration for Robertson’s spiritual integrity.

Good to have the whackos on your side.

Does endorsement work both ways? Like, if they appear together and Pat says “Go Rudy!” are we entitled to conclude that Rudy supports Pat?

The non-Americans among us should realize the general public ranks Pat Robertson and other TV evangelists somewhere below hookers and Colombian drug lords in terms of respectability.

Strange political bedfellows indeed.

Rudy is pro-abortion.

Robertson is pro-life.

The following statement is completely untrue.

I agree, it’s vastly unfair to all the decent hookers and drug dealers out there.

Well, this is huge for Giuliani, since his one supposed weakness during the primaries was to be his bona fides with the religious conservatives. I wonder why Robertson went for the pro-abortion rights cross-dresser over the Mormon.

If the general election comes down to Giuliani and HRC, I’m going to stick my head in an oven.

Laura Ingraham On Pat Robertson Endorsing Rudy Giuliani…I much prefer Laura to Coulter.

This is a 41 second sound clip currently on YouTube.

From another site…I pretty much agree.
"Pat endorsed Dole in the GOP Primaries in 1996, Bush Sr. in 1992. In fact, he’s endorsed the most Socially Liberal Republican candidate in every election since Reagan - during the primaries, not just the General Election. He all but endorsed Rudy911 for President as far back as 2004 - this is no surprise. He has always believed the more Liberal the GOP candidate, the better his chances.

He opposed the Clinton Impeachment, opposes the Death Penalty, believes in Man-Made Global Warming,…I mean seriously, the man is not a “Conservative.” You seem to confuse “Republican and Preacher” with “Conservative.”

He’s never been a very Conservative Republican, neither is his media outlet.

And for all of the achievements you point out as positives - they are all meaningless if he’s willing to sell out every principle he’s preached just because he really hates Hillary.

I think less of Pat after this, not more of Rudy911.

And I will still never, ever - under ANY circumstance - EVER vote for Rudy911. So help me God. To hell with the Grand New Party if Rudy911 gets the nod."
Guiliani’s got some explaining to do. heh, so much for the Republicans to attempt to elect a "crossover’ candidate who doesn’t seem so Republican.

And cowboy, that statement is true. pat Robertson is the liberals answer to Farakkhan - the thorn in their side always making them look bad.

Farakkhan should come out and support barack Obama. Watch that grass-roots support of white suburbanites trying to alleviate their white guilt by voting for a “white” half-black (but not culturally balck) man go right down the drain.

I don’t care about Giuliani but I’m a big fan of Pat Robertson, the “televangelist with a decades-long record of extremism and offensive attacks on women, feminists, gay people, … and non-Christians”. The guy is a complete loon and with Kristi Watts make for great comedy on the 700 club. But if you are desperate for power I guess you will sleep with whatever dog comes along.

Remember when Pat Robertson ran for president, back in 1988? (Well, the year before that.) He came in second in Iowa, pushing Bush Sr. to third. (The farmers were angry.) The media were all saying how he should do real well in what was then called Super Tuesday, because everybody knows how much Southerners love their Christian evangelism… But when the day came, the Southerners mostly voted for Bush again. So whenever I hear about how much influence Pat Robertson has, I think of that.

Heh heh, I’ve just been looking at his Wikipedia page. Did you know he claims to be able to leg-press 2000 pounds? Or that he apparently made plans to film the Second Coming in 1979? Enjoy:

Don’t forget he’s a raving anti-Semite, he was in the blood diamond business with one one of Africa’s more grisly dictators, and he’s also a “blame America firster” thinks it’s the US’s fault that al-Qaeda attacked them on 9/11
