I’m assuming so, but I’m fine with that since most of my beverage intake is water or coffee/tea sweetened with monkfruit sugar.
Unless it has Aspartame in it…
I have an unquenchable thirst for Coca-Cola Cherry, specifically that’s room temperature and flat (decarbonated). Why they don’t sell this directly, I have no idea.
Make it happen
Beer is comparatively low in alcohol. Lots of variety out there.
Rooibos, chamomile tea , euphorbia, thistle tea, many other herbal teas out there in Taiwan as its common for older people to start avoiding caffeine. Have tried decaf coffee a few times but it was terrible.
I also go the flavoured or plain sparkling water route.
High fibre no added soya milk is also a go to.
The coloured Italian sodas are picking up in popularity in coffeeshops but they seem to have a lot of sugar and I reckon the high carbonic acid might not be good for our teeth. Does anybody know.if sodas/carbonated drinks will damage our teeth if we drink too much (even non sugar ones)?
For low sugar beer I drink the green Asahi cans. You really notice the high sugar levels in beer then if you go back to trying regular beer.
Ooha seems generally safe (in moderation?).
I have one apple cider vinegar drink a day with one tablespoon of ACV. Maybe not the best thing to overdo it and drink lots of it.
Monkfruit sugar is not aspartame. It comes from a fruit.
Fly algaric tea is an out of mainstream option.
Bitter Melon, Corn, or Barley tea. Or you can have a jug like this in the fridge:

I remember there’s also a low cal, no alcohol Asahi beer, in case you want something different.
hard to find something without caffeine alcohol or sugar to drink.
Usually when I want to drink something that doesn’t contain any of those things, I just go for water.
Sometimes I go for sparking water if I want to switch things up, but I try to avoid it if I can. The carbonation in most sparkling water brands is too much for me.

Afaik most of the damaging effects are from colas that have phosphorus added for more “tingle”, (barring sugar of course).
Monkfruit sugar is not aspartame
Apparently anything that the body thinks is sweet but doesn’t turn into calories is a potential route to diabetes long term as the body will go ahead and generate an insulin response, but without the sugar hitting the blood stream that ultimately leads to an increased insulin resistance. ![]()
Sprite Zero
Cool barley tea is the winner in here so far by my taste. I think PX has a ready made one in the fridge for lazy bachelors too, just sayin’.
Green Tea might have caffeine
Kombucha has become my go to drink in these cases. It does have a very minimal amount of caffeine and sugar though.
Of course it has caffeine and sugar too. I just thought it was hilarious.
Cold brew teas are nice in the summer as well.

Yip, one thing I miss about Canada is the selection. Equinox is a good UK brand though.
What’s wrong with water?
It’s kinda plain and lacks stimulants.
