Google launches new Find My Device network for Android

For now US and Canada only. :sideeye:

Google has confirmed that the global rollout of the service will be completed over the next few months.

I saw that, for now not yet enough devices supporting besides the top-notch flagships. Especially for the trackers, very few work on that.

I hope this expands soon enough, tried for 2 generations to use the samsung trackers, they don’t really work (I am quite invested in the samsung ecosystem, but trying to leave it besides the phones).

I saw Pebblebee is releasing new products for this new Android find network. They will ship in a month or so. About the time everyone gets access to the network.

I preodered the card sized one. Will report here when it starts working.

might have a look at that too

Already have Find My Device and trackers for years.

Don’t really know what’s new about this rollout.

Before only those who used the specific app would report the location of trackers. Soon it will be potentially every android device, unless the owner opts out. So the tracking will work much better.

The new Find My Device works with devices running Android 9+.

Basically like AirTag with iPhones, but now with Android.
