I’m impressed by, and somewhat afraid of the effects of, the generative capabilities shown in this thread: AI Image Generators (Craiyon, DALL E, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion) . I think these generative capabilities – not just of text, but of images, video, and eventually fully immersive 3D experiences – have crossed a threshold such that the generated image and video results – even of humans – look and increasingly act indistinguishably real to our brains. And I think that’s a pretty big change that will have far-reaching and difficult-to-predict effects.
