Guilty Pleasures

Hi boys (shabab)!

I couldn’t answer the posts on the “Cd’s-you-like thread” 'cause I have too many that I like. However, I can tell you 2 that I hide from people:

Air Supply - The Ultimate Collection . . . Millenium (24-Bit Master edition)
Yanni - Live at the Achropolis (Belgian import)

Dunc

I’ve actually got a John Tesh CD back home. World music stuff.

I also have a John Denver Christmas Album.

God I hate myself.

Jerry Garcia, “Not for Kids Only” (I know Tigerman’s kid has heard it plenty. . . “ain’t no bugs on me. . .”)

Loreena McKennitt, “Book of Secrets” I’m not much into Enya or riverdancing and the like, but I gotta admit, this CD’s really good, much as I’m embarrassed to admit it.
There ain’t no bugs on me, no
there ain’t no bugs on me
There may be bugs on some of you mugs
but there ain’t no bugs on me…
That is an awesome CD. They made that from traditional Appalachian songs and didn’t change anything to make them more friendly for today’s children.

I have his tie based on that CD cover.

The soundtrack to Xanadu “Xanadu…Xanadu-u-u…Now that we’re here in Xanadu-u-u…”

Disney Villains Vol. 2…from a McDonald’s promotion back in the mid 90’s

I think the Brown Album by Primus should be embarrassing, but only for them. What in the hell were they thinking when they made it? What in the hell was I thinking when I bought it?

Back in the States, on Vinyl…

Kiss, double platnum
Bruce Springsteen Born in the USA

here in taiwan

Shaggy
Chrisina Aquilar ( I don’t even know the title, as it was a gift) but it is not bad.

Trio - Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt & Emmylou Harris
Makes me wish I were a cowboy.

Lionel Richie - The Definitive Collection
This stuff reminds me of every girl I kissed in my high school years.

Mao, now that IS outrageous. :astonished: :astonished: :astonished: :astonished: :astonished:

Niel Diamond’s box set  . That’d be my folks fault…their repetitive playing of his Gold album back in the 70’s got me hooked.

The Chicago Soundtrack…a gift from a dear friend. But damn, it’s good!

Yep… we all have them, those skeletons in your record collection (closet). Movies you really love but that conflicts with your love for esoteric European cinema, so you can’t tell anybody… you get the kind of thing So gentle reader what are yours? you get my solemn promise I won’t laugh.

Me… there are loads but these spring to mind

“Torn” Natalie lmbruglia
“Band of Gold” Freda Payne

Smokey and the Bandit (pt1)
Cannonball Run
The Goonies
Flash Gordon
and another I won’t divulge until this thread gets going

go go go!

Jolene- Dolly Parton

The Lost Boys

Pearl Harbor - The 4 DVD Director’s cut version. Not because I like the film but because I like DVDs and films in general.

ABBA - The definite collection, 2 CDs and a DVD of their videos. Groovy.

Thought of another: Saturday Night Fever. Used to dance to it with my sister.

My almost one gig of Donovan… ‘First there is a mountain, then there is no mountain, then there is. First there is a mountain, then there is no mountain, then there is. Oh Juanita! Oh Juanita, I call your name.’

Everything else on Buttercup’s ipod is OUTRAGEOUSLY cool, as you can imagine.

goo goo barabagagel is a tune though

Band of gold, is like Knock on Wood. Classic guilty pleasures.

I agree with most of funk500’s choices. And add to them…

Robocop.
Nanny McPhee.

Yes! Donovan is fab. ‘Elevator in the brain hotel. Broken down but just as well. Looking through Christian spectacles, I can see you had your fun.’

Grease

Kenny rodgers… the old stuff (gambler, coward of the country rube)
And really shitty pop music… like britney ho, and justin… and if you tell anyone I’ll scratch out your eyes!

Christ almighty. Which mod bothered to find a thread from 2003 to link this to?

Crikey! Reading this I vote for a change of thread title to “hangable offences”.
