I digitally signed a one year gym contract with WG. They asked me to pay a 3 month advanced fee which I did and they said I’m free to start using the gym. I only paid using cash because I had no bank account at that time. However, after a month, they asked me to pay for the month that passed which really puzzled me. I was only able to use the gym three times during that month. Because of busy school schedules (i’m not working) I have not visited the gym after those three times. Now, the one year contract ended without me ever visiting the gym after the three times during the first month and yet, they still ask me to pay. Is there any binding in this situation? Thank you

Not much you can do probably in your situation unless you think they did something wrong. Then can fill out a complaint form (at post office I think), and it goes to some central agency that may (or may not) get back to you.
It’s hard to advise you simply because everyone’s gym contract is different, with different allowance or features. I think the gyms in general want you to leave a credit or debit card where you’d be charged the fees.
If you signed a contract then yes you’re on the hook for the contract, even if you never visited the gym for several months. It’s kinda like phone contracts.
But without a credit card authorization form on file they wouldn’t have any way to charge you, however they could or might take you to court for unpaid months that passed, but I’m not sure if it’s worth it for them.

Additional info: I registered sometime around October and was only able to use it thrice in October. After 4 months of not going to the gym, I came back to the gym with the intention of settling the previous months even if I have not ever used their services. However, I had the money at that time but they could not provide a receipt of acknowledgment for me that I paid. I needed the receipt because as a student, I have to provide a lot of receipts of my expenses here. But they can’t give me one at that time. So it was very sketchy. Now I transferred residency but their agent would always verbally harass me either on Line or the last time I went around the area and I happened to see him.
Note: Since they could not provide receipt, I did not pay at the time of my visit.
If you signed up for a year, you have to pay for a year. Just because you didnt go often doesnt make any difference. What am i missing?
