Ok been living in Sinfong for the last year and for this year will be in taipei full time looking for a gym near Nanjing fuxing.
I have no desire to go to gold or california. A small gym with free weights. I dont really need anything else.
If they had tanning, pool, sauna, or any of the other creature comforts would be nice but not nessasary.
Dont want to spend more than 2g a month on it.
Must have free weights or really good machines and treadmills.
Any ideas.
There is a Go Gym in the Taipei Arena on the intersection of Nanjing and Dunhua, one block from Nanjing Fuxing.
They’re fairly new so the equipment is in OK condition. There are spinning classes plus other bendy person class type things, but I never found them too taxing.
I managed to bargain them down (actually it was the second offer they gave me) of 3600NT for two months and then 2000NT for each month after.
It’s a little tricky to find - you need to walk around the Arena clockwise and then around Starbucks. It’s down the back.
There is a smaller gym on the south-side of Bade Rd., between Fuxing and Dunhua. No idea if they meet your requirements but it might be worth checking out.
That’s likely to be Taipei Gym, one of the better deals in Town. They have a BaDe location. Lots of free weights and machines but sometimes no space to stretch, depending on location. They have a machine for every muscle in the body. But the prices can’t be beat.

Do you know the prices on Taipei Gym. I read through the other article but cant remember which page of post it was on.
Not sure if it’s Taipei Gym, the sign on the outside says “Supersh@pe” if I remember correctly.
