H1n1 in foreigners

Has anyone been diagnosed with H1N1?

I’m a little worried now that people in CiShan are coming down with it. I helped out a week after the typhoon…hauling away mud and stagnant water in the city.

Eh, mod, thanks for the edit, but the signs and the newspapers use “Cishan”.

So, I was down in Cishan/Qishan/Tsishan/Zishan (that town just out of Kaoshiung that recently went under military control for the cleanup efforts due to Typhoon Morakot)…

Seriously! What is going on!? I keep writing C-i-s-h-a-n and it keeps getting changed to Qishan.

Do you mean 旗山 ? The Hanyu Pinyin spelling which most foreigners who’ve studied any Mandarin will understand is Qi2shan1, with a Q. I don’t know whether in your case it’s a manual edit by a mod or the automatic spelling censor. Either way, if it spares us from the dreaded TYPY virus, it’s a good thing.
