So I’m curious.
How is hair treated in Taiwan? Facial hair? Chest hair? other hair?
for guys? for girls?
do girls prefer guys with or without hair?
Hair today gone tomorrow
I don’t mind a mustache on a girl, but a full beard is a bit too retro 60s for my taste.
Hair, lots of it like Chewbacca in Star Wars and if you can speak Wookie then it’s a bonus.
Answer these questions;
Would a girl like a scumbag because he had hair?
Would a girl like a good natured (but confident) man because he had hair?
Would a girl like a scumbag because he had no hair?
Would a girl like a good natured (but confident) man because he had no hair?
I think if you can figure that out, everything will be ok.

I understand people are people everywhere and that is what is mostly important. But I am just curious if there are any grooming customs which are significantly different in Taiwan.
It is not unheard of for different cultures to have different grooming habits.
anything goes here.
If they can grow beards some men will, some won’t (same for the women).
Girls are less hairy than western women and often don’t need to shave legs or arm pits.
You can teach with a full beard or a shaved head.
Really nobody cares.

But the women who don’t shave their armpits in Taiwan have pretty nasty bushes growing there. I wouldn’t say they don’t ‘need’ to shave.

Well, as with all people the amount varies. I can only say that in my experience Asian women are less hirsute than their Western counterparts.

True, true.

I guess you’ve seen only one girl as long as you’ve been in Taiwan … believe me, many are hairy … and the worst thing, they don’t care …

I’m a woman so I haven’t really cared to look closely, but that’s the impression I got too while there. I saw lots of hairy armpits, hairy arms, even hairy backs on my coworkers when they bent over and their shirts would go up a little. Yikes! It’s a shame that many women don’t take care of themselves better in that way (that goes for women all over the world). Waxing is your friend.
They probably think this weird Western fetish about hairlessness is just strange.

Probably…I know it’s a cultural thing. My husband is thankful though. ![]()
It’s cultural. Before you laugh think about how all over waxing only became popular in the last decade or so especially among young wome. Think about how prudish the yanks are about topless women and how even European women are more afraid to let it all hang out these days on the beaches. They think they are more open minded than precious generations but actually that is not always true.
That said, I once had a coworker whom I thought was moderately cute , she was single, thought that was strange, caught a glimpse of her calves one day, holy shit…: but how do you tell a woman you need to shave your legs!
My little nephews used to stroke the hair on my arms, the way they would a dog. Their whole family supposes that this is why I don’t get cold as easily as they do!
On hair hair, somebody should get a Nobel Prize in chemistry for the last few decades of progress in Chinese hair-dying.
What else? Women do not usually shave their pits. (Neither do the men, for that matter.) Facial hair is rare on anybody, and if encountered, is likely to be on an artist/entertainer or old man.
There used to be strict school regulations about hair length (for each sex), but now I see kids with mohawks and rat-tails and God knows what else. The young men like to make their hair stick up on top nowadays.
I hear little sympathy for baldness.
“Listen, bitch! I’m a cyclist.” Easy. But you’re not a cyclist. Why do YOU need to shave your legs?
But what about the hairy moles? I really like to look at those with wonderment. How long does it take to groom? How long did it take to get those seven or eight hairs that long?
Hmmmmm, I have more hair in my butt crack than on my head (I won’t start on my back hair). Is that considered sexy here?
I want to grow it like the moles Steviebike mentioned. Like a tail on a wild mustang. ![]()
Head hair on older women … style curly carpet permanent … on young guys, type vocational high school, monkey style, hanging in front of the eyes so they have trouble taking in the surroundings. :eh:
