Since my mom can’t eat glutenous rice, she found this millet/quinoa tsàng at this place

I did try some and was good ! The season for this is soon so I will order this and see other new ones, as will the old traditional ones I always eat from the old vendors.

As far as this festival goes, they should replace the stodgy rice version with 冰粽 everywhere. I just get a big load of these at this time of year and eat them almost straight out of the freezer. Otherwise southern style ride or die, as per @afterspivak’s post upthread.

I just saw there’s a type of Zongzi in coastal central Taiwan that has whole dried oysters in it, called 蚵乾粽. Never heard of it before.

I didn’t even know there’s such a thing as 蚵乾.

There are some interesting creative Zongzi in this video.

There’s a roast duck zongzi, a pickled peeled chili zongzi, a pomelo oolong zongzi, a taro eel zongzi, and the most shocking of all, a durian zongzi.

The youtuber seems to have really enjoyed the durian zongzi.
