Happy St. Patrick's Day do you celebrate in Taiwan

I was wondering do you Forumosans celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? If you do what is everybody doing? I know you maybe getting drunk but where’s the party at? I think everyone should make a mock St. Paddy’s Day parade in your city or town.

…or bathroom floor.

No.

I’ve never even had a green beer.

I had my students make leprechaun puppets out of paper bags because I wasn’t sure what to do for art class. Does that count?

Yup shamrocks or puppets count a nice parade on the bathroom floor will do too.

Try teaching them to make Irish coffee instead.

Bliss is where it’s happening tonight.
Jugband stomping with the Muddy Basin Ramblers. Come on. You KNOW you want to.

Apparently it’s originally an Irish thing you know :astonished:

Closer than you might think Matthew.

Yep, probably stole it though, most likely thieved from Albion by some drunken Irish tinker.

Closer than you might think Matthew.
Ay, Saint Patrick was a brit, I know that. And he spent most of his time in Norn Irn.

St. Patrick’s Day begins with my lucky boxers!

Come celebrate with LOADED band at The Shannon!
Starting at 10pm, ending around 2:30 - four sets of rock!

I decided to switch from wearing orange to something off-green in case someone unwisely decided to pinch me today…

Most St. Patrick’s Day celebrators don’t know what is it:

(But then again this is about Macunians)

Oh lord, they’re already out of control enough without liquor and caffeine in their systems.

Well, after watching the rock their wee bottoms off at Bliss, you could always head down to Bob And Daves.

Katrina says that to celebrate St. Paddy’s day this Saturday (March 17) Guiness cans will be NT$100 at Bobwundaye all night (or as long as the supply lasts).

What’s more, REDHEADS WILL DRINK FOR FREE from 9 to 11 p.m. on St. Paddy’s Day. (Katrina adds the caveat that “if there’s any doubt about the authenticity of a carrot top, ‘secondary proof’ may be required to be displayed…”, whatever that means…any questions? take it up with her on Saturday )

I know for a fact that if I hadn’t gone out last night here in HK and spent the equivalent of a HK-TPE-HK business class round trip somewhere between Lan Kwai Fong, Soho and inevitably, Wanchai. - and now so completely destroyed by the resulting hangover, that’s what I’d do. And what’s more I’m absolutely damned sure it would be a thousand times better than the foolery that caused all my pain today.

But then again, I’m clearly very fucking stupid!

ERIN GU BRAGH!
Any clover growing in your neighborhood?
I’d love to wake up my neighbors playing my pipes, but they’re probably already up making their own noises.

Owww…my head… would you shut up? It’s 4:30 in the afternoon. My mouth tastes like kitty litter.

I had thing nightmare of a bottle of Jameson’s and a gang of Guiness pints were chasing me through the fields of Hades.
