Can anyone inform me of the situation regarding the syphilis testing? Once a person has contracted syphilis, even if they have been cured they will still occasionally test positive because the antibodies remain in their system indefinitely. Does anyone know if the Taiwanese health checks factor this in? judging from the information I’ve found online the tests look pretty thorough but I’d rather not apply for a job, get to Taiwan and then get told that I couldn’t take a job because I’d had syphilis in my 20s!
Can anyone tell me from first hand experience or point me in a direction where I can get some concrete information?
This is the form I found and the tests on here looked pretty thorough, but I’m no doctor!
