It should be noted that the “Hello Kitty with Magic Star” livery is just the first of THREE new Hello Kitty jets that will be launched this year. Goody gumdrops!

Is it decked out with HK stuff inside as well and is there an option not to fly on it?
Yup, everything is Hello Kitty inside, from pillows to food items and even the toilet paper. Kind of a sensory overload. They aren’t part of EVA’s main fleet and will initially be used for charter flights only (Hello Kitty themed travel packages to Japan, Korea and Hong Kong.) So there’s no chance some stiff-necked business exec is going to accidentally find himself on one.

Could you imagine finishing your day’s work on a hello kitty themed airplane… only to be pulled into your boss’s office to grilled for hours because there was a false rumor that you did porn. Could you imagine your boss demanding you provide proof that girl in the sex tape isn’t you?

There is no amount of money that could persuade me to work on one of those Hello Kitty planes. Can you imagine the clientele it would attract.

My wife and I had to fly to a friend’s wedding in Tokyo about 17 years ago. She booked a flight on one of the original Hello Kitty planes just to fuck with me!
She got me good. It was disturbing!

You mean the type of clientele that will book a flight that, until recently, only hired female flight attendants? Don’t worry, it’s not like this clientele would do stuff like demand that the flight attendants wipe their ass… O wait…
