We have a very young bird which I assume is a sparrow. Eyes are still closed. Internet says it needs a mix of mushed insects to survive. Does anyone have an idea where I can get:

Your local (decent sized) bird shop should have bugs for birds. Maybe not a big variety, but at least mealworms.

Yep, can also get some (frozen) blood worms from your local aquarium shop. Mix the whole lot together in your mouth and chew it around for a while before gobbing it down the young 'uns throat, will only have to do it for a couple of months.

I’d try bird street, Hoping W. between Zhonghua and Kunming. They should have what’s needed to feed birds, right? Or the lizard/beetle store in Shilin across from the main police precinct, or the museum/classroom place near Linguang Station.

Thank you for the great suggestions, but I live in Taichung.
I bought some Mealworms and gave it a bit of sugar water. It’s lying now on a towel on top of one of those hand warmers to keep it cozy.
