I assume you went through the U.K. system where you mostly focused on your field of science.
I think kids would be more motivated if US programs were more like that. It would weed out anyone who shouldn’t be at Uni as well.

From his rant it sounds like he failed to make the assignment/his expectations clear. I’ve met a lot of lazy college students, but not THAT lazy.
I’m not really seeing the part where he “loses it” though. He swears a lot sure, he’s insulting, but it’s not all that bad.

Pretty sure the correct spelling for the title would be “hippie”.
If memory serves, “hippy” is employed to refer to one who is, erm… “roamy across the backbeam” as my one auntie would say.
