Saw this beautiful sight today in Ximen, right when you exit the station towards the pedestrian area. Slightly unsettleing. This is clearly not your 08/15 Buddist symbol indicating vegetarian food. Just wondering if somebody could translate or elaborate.
Was this near a cinema by any chance ? It had the word Napola on it, a quick google came up with this: german-cinema.de/archive/fil … lm_id=1061 It’s just a film advert. Calm down, panic over.
Hmm, I did not see any signs of a movie theatre, but in Ximen there are plenty of those, especially by the MRT station. But you must admit, if it is a movie advertisement, then it is not well marked. Might be worth watching that movie. I doubt they used the same kind of advertisment back in Germany.
it’s next to the playboy store (in the background). I am sure you know where that is BFM.
I walked by last Sunday with a few game clubbers who speak/read Chinese very well and they also told me it’s a movie ad.
Obviously signs of an ancient and highly intelligent civilization.
And they quickly left the island.
It says “Hero education” in chinese. and it says 8/15, conquering the world.
My Chinese is very poor but for me it is 9 / 16 or?
Thanks guys for clarifying this. I guess I must have missed the whole thing then. If it happened on 8/15 or 9/16, or 10/17 does not matter. It is over. Might have been interesting to watch. It has been a while that I have been to Ximen, I guess I am out of the loop.
What the hell is a game clubber? Am I that old, or just ignorant?

Members of the ‘Game Club’ - some Forumosans and friends meet every Sunday at some Cafe to play board or card games.
(Sorry if ‘clubber’ isn’t the right or an appropiate term)
I guess it is my ignorance, since I heard of that Game Club before. Sounds like loads of fun. I will have a closer look on that thread. Thanks for the pointer.
