I screwed up moving these posts. Excuse the newbie mod mistakes. (For example, I thought posts moved to an existing topic would automatically be sorted by date and time created, but they are simply added to the end of the thread in the order moved. Two moves of posts screwed everything up!)
No worries, itâs not so bad. thereâs been worse
What other foods have raw eggs? In the states I had yolk over tartare in a Vietnamese restaurant.
I guess runny yolks are technically raw wherever theyâre found. not the same though.
Talking about sauces that can go wrong if not mixed correctly, I think your moderation was quite on topic.
Caesar salad dressings, sometimes.
Technically I suppose dolsot bibimbap is served with a raw egg, or at least it used to be - I havenât seen it that way in Taiwan in a number of years now. But an egg broken over that pot doesnât stay raw for long.
Thanks - I wondered if something like that may be going on, with the same name used for two different dishes. Appropriate for something that, in my experience, is often served with tortilla.
Donât disregard remoulade and the variations
special sauce, etc
I think thatâs for possible salmonella poisoning or something. But you can easily pasteurize your eggs to prevent that.
