Horseradish root or plant

Anyone seen horseradish root in Taiwan? Not wasabi or mustard.

Jason’s has the prepared horseradish in a jar. Only place I’ve ever seen it. I actually ordered a root from the US. They said they could deliver to Taiwan 3 months later it still hadn’t arrived. I contacted the seller and they just returned my money.
I’m not sure if customs seized it, or if it was just Covid… But it’s almost a year later and it still hasn’t arrived. I decided not do try again.

I would love to hear it anyone find some.

Here’s the Amazon link. I read your can plant the root as well.

Arent wasabi horseradish anyways? Real wasabi is incredibly rare.

Wasabi, mustard, and horseradish are related but still different. Fresh horseradish is much stronger than the prepared jarred kind.

Correct. Most “wasabi” is horseradish dyed green.

You’d think it would be grown on Ali Mountain as Wasabi is. I presume there just isn’t a market for it.

Because wasabi is more expensive and not easy to cultivate, it takes a while before being able to harvest and environment needs to be quite specific.
