Hot pot discrimination in Taipei

What’s going to blow their mind is when one of these whites that has naturalized goes in there and shows their ROC ID, or, conversely, an ABT shows their California ID.

This virus is going to make us all fear our fellow man

The mayor has now tweeted about this asking for people to accept all residents of Taipei as they are.

Nice!

Note that he said “restaurants and clinics”.
Seems the hot pot place wasn’t the only xenophobic biz in town…

You know, you don’t have to eat there, There are like a million hot pot restaurants in Taiwan.

Businesses have the right to refuse service to anyone.

True it’s discrimination, and if a bunch of places are doing it perhaps this is something that can be brought up to relevant government authorities, but if it’s just one… well they’re not getting my money.

What’s the story behind that one?

Quick translation please, my Australian is not that good.

No entry allowed for Chinese people. Violators will face prosecution and possible deportation.

Not sure about the OP, but it seems certain that there have been some such cases.

But everyone else is welcome to have it

That’s apparently Vietnam, FWIW

Is that in Vietnam? They’ve always hated the Chinese.

I thought it was a nail salon in the US.
Which is sort of like Vietnam, I guess.

Doesn’t exactly look like standard American script
