If English teaching went online you’ll have hordes of indian teachers doing it for 100nt an hour.

No idea. Probably mostly to show the locals how to do it. There are always new models coming in from Boeing, Bombardier, Airbus, etc. and someone needs to come here on a multi-year assignments to teach people how to work on them.
Either that, or the airport might hire English speakers who live here to receive training from English-speaking trainers that come from overseas on short trips, to receive training from them and then train the locals.
You don’t mention what aircraft you can service. This isn’t really a light aircraft industry here.
Is there ANY aircraft industry in Taiwan apart from developing I Don’t Fly?
One reason I didn’t pursue aerospace engineering is because there is very limited market for this outside of government if you are not in the US.
I know quite a few people who teach online in Taiwan. It’s not my thing but I would do it if I had to make a living. There are companies teaching corporate classes online to businesses here as well.
I would do it myself too if I had an “in” to do this.
Currently I really don’t have any viable jobs I can do remotely, and translation hasn’t worked out.
I’m just a mere mortal of no talent at all. Just a high school grad. Cursed with a lack of tertiary education. People in Australia told me I would be back there within a year. I was told I would not succeed and any of my business ventures by many so called “expat experts” here/ I call them ex spirts, drips under pressure. I seem to have failed people in those mission statements they would make about me. Their optimism for my company’s demise seemed premature. It’s survival precipitated their feeble minds going into meltdowns… how is it that guy is still around doing the same business we all thought would be non existent by now lol
First you have to believe in yourself. Second, failure is possible so you setup and start again. I know what it’s like, I’m a survivor. The difficult choices in life require the strong minds. Then again I reckon things differently to other people.

The world is not an open oyster. You have to force your way in. In your case it’s you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink.
It’s more like I don’t even know how to begin to find students to teach online.
And with foreigners that look much better than I do, with lighter skins than I do, I’m afraid no one will want me to teach them English.
And there’s a lot of jobs you need an “in” in order to do. Jewelry industry is one of them.
The imagery here is making me a little uncomfortable.

This is what we like about you. Consistent with all the excuses as to why you can’t try to do something instead of having a reason to do something. It’s not like you cannot claim you grew up in the USA. My wife can get students online so why can’t you?

What’s wrong with teaching English for a year to get your bearings straight? This is not China. Sure they’ll be some schools that try to screw you but that’s why you come first. Find a job at a cram school do that for a year until you meet enough people to either private tutor, make videos about finance, make videos about aircraft or whatever.
Lots of people have done it before you including myself. I showed up with $1500 in my pocket straight out of college and had a job within a few days.

I’ve interviewed many schools for a teaching job. None will offer a job. If it’s not my skin tone, it’s likely the Asperger’s.
I don’t think either one will preclude a job but both combined is a show stopper it seems.
That and I lack experience and everyone wants experience.
So true! Most people do not want to run a company. I am doing some work to get people to run a business which is hard even when they want too but need a confidence boost.
Or in this case, learn to use google
