Because you never met my ex-wife 
It seems the majority of the posters are pretty young. Not sure why people keep saying it’s full of old people.
Not certain about the forum at large but I am pretty sure most of the regulars and mods are aged 40 and up. Not that 40 is particularly old at all really, just saying. You and I are outliers age wise.
I‘m singling out the regulars and mods because they probably shape people’s impression of the site more so than anyone else.

Yes, I think the common website design of having mods visible is a mistake. Those with such powers should be invisible in my opinion. People act differently and makes it harder to police.

I have no idea what you’re saying. The mods have to be visible otherwise they’d be the invisible enemy.
