How to find Business English teaching jobs in Taipei/Taiwan?

I see lots of adverts asking for regular English teachers; is it possible to teach Business English in Taiwan? If so how can I find these jobs? I have found nothing online.

Many unis have Business English classes. You have a Masters so you might be able to get part-time work teaching BE classes.

The British Council do a lot of Business English instruction.

Would these unis expect you to be able to speak any Chinese?

Ah okay thank you, applying to literally every uni’s english department now lol

I can’t speak for all of them. Each uni is different. But there’d be many that wouldn’t, or would view it as an extension of their English program.

What’s your master’s?

No chance of a full time uni gig.

Jesus. Good luck.

Yeah, chose the wrong Masters for that. Hindsight is 20/20, I guess. I still think he could probably snag part-time with a B.E. class if he lucks out.

Mine? I’m not OP, but my master’s are: MA (International Relations), JD, MEd (TESOL)

You have… a lot of advanced degrees for a 25 year old (I saw you mentioned you’re 25 in another thread?). Yes, an MEd in TESOL should help. Do you have teaching experience?

A little bit: 7 year’s university teaching experience. No English teaching experience. I look 25. I’m actually a couple of years older.

Okay, then yes I think you could apply for full-time uni jobs. No guarantees of course, but you could at least score interviews with your qualifications and experience.

Awesome thanks!
