How to listen to spotify web version?

Cheers, have done that with the most recent issue of being logged out by them then not recognizing the password.

Starting to wonder if my account was deleted/banned or ? I have only ever just listened to music on spotify through a laptop to connect to speakers when friends or family are over. so I cant imagine breaking any rules…outside of my obvious dislike for such a non user friendly platform, maybe google ratted on me lol

Have you solved the problem, I am having this problem, please share.

I gave up on Spotify. If they hate consumers that much, so be it

www.youtube.com for now

I use ncspot for Spotify becaus i’m an absolute nerd.

If you’re comfortable with Terminal/Console and know how to install Rust, ncspot can be fun

That’s probably why people leave spotify

@morganroth Yes. Actually, it did. After that initial squall of trouble, it has worked without a hitch. I don’t really use Edge any more for much. I prefer Vivaldi or even Chrome. Seems fine.

One of the things that could be an issue is if you have changed any flags in Chrome for audio. You might have done it and forgotten.

@volv1992 I guess you have heard of enshittification by now.
It’s real, it does affect products/services, and it does make people mad at wasting good money on things that no longer work as promised.

So, pardon me for whining. As I was whining about enshittification (how many 't’s does that word have?), it also occurred to me that poorly debugged software, app lockin by design, hiding functionality that could be in the web version but isn’t (FB, IG…), dark patterns, etc. are all technological problems that have arisen. They seriously affect us all in a variety of ways. Totally worth whining! LOL!

Hopefully got the edit right this time.
